Louise McKerall Busby of Houston, Texas died peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with Alzheimer on April 29, 2012, in Seguin Texas. Born in Waco, Texas on her grandparents dairy farm on the Brazos River on June 17, 1915 to William F. and Neva Laughlin McKerall. After attending Waco High School, she married Bradley Clyde Busby and moved to Houston. There she began a long and successful career as Administrative Assistant in the Legal Profession, which she retired from in 1995 at the age of 80. Most of her career she worked for two prominent and distinguished attorneys, Mr. Wright Morrow and Mr. Beatty Oldham. She was, also, active in the Republican Party at the national and local levels. She was honored to receive an invitation and attend the Inauguration of President Richard Nixon. She is preceded in death by her parents, Great Granddaughter Emma Marie Louise Burch, Sons-in-law William T. Fleming and Edwin Lamastus. Her survivors include children, Kenneth Bradley Busby, Houston Tx., Kathryn Ann Fleming, Millican, TX., Carolyn Sue Lamastus, Seguin, TX., Martha Jean Perkins, Columbus, TX., and Robert Lynn Busby and wife Patricia, San Antonio, TX; sister Aileen and husband Warren Ables, Austin, TX., eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. The family would like to express appreciation to David Nesbit and staff at Nesbit Nursing and Recovery Center in Seguin, TX., for taking such good care of her these last four years. A memorial will be held for Family and Friends in Waco, Texas, at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers the Family request contributions to the National Alzheimer's Association.
