Obituary

Noel Morales Gonzales, age 69 of Seguin passed away on October 13, 2020.

Noel was born on September 5, 1951 in Seguin, Texas to Herbert and Maria (Morales) Gonzales. He will be remembered as a longtime employee of Motorola and the Seguin Independent School District. Noel cherished many roles in his life. He was a loving, dedicated and loyal husband. He was attentive and thoughtful and made sure that the love of his life, Susie, was always perfectly taken care of. He was also a devoted and dutiful father teaching and guiding his children, Rene and Jessica to work hard and be strong individuals. And probably most importantly to him, he was a tender and adoring grandfather to his beautiful granddaughters, Kelsey and Robyn, instilling in them confidence and giving them assurance of his never-ending love.

Noel loved people and never met a stranger. He loved conversation, banter and the occasional inappropriate joke. He loved to learn, to laugh and to share his knowledge of all of his many aptitudes. His connection with people was a positive characteristic of his personality and his keen ability to unite both young and old alike. He was a true connector.

He was an avid outdoorsman with a love for nature. Noel had many talents – hunting, fishing, and his craftsmanship topped the list! Since turkey hunting was his ultimate passion, his woodworking skills led him to create his own turkey call business, Sounds of South Texas. Noel touched many people around the United States and recently went international selling unique and custom-made mesquite turkey calls. This was by far, was his ultimate pride and joy! He was so extremely proud of this and rightfully so!

"El Patron" - the boss - the head honcho -the man. This was his nickname, his call name, his tag line, his label. He has moved on to a better place. However, his leadership, his guidance, his talents, his support and his energy will certainly be missed by all of his family, his friends, his customers and colleagues alike.

May God rest his loving heart, his creating hands, and his beautiful soul.
He is preceded in by his son Rene DeHoyos Gonzales, his parents, and brother, Robert Gonzales, and sister Diana Lugo and husband Albert. Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Susie DeHoyos Gonzales; daughter, Jessica Gonzales DeLany; granddaughters, Kelsey Noelle Guerrero and Robyn Renee DeLany; sisters, Olga Gonzales, Oralia Herrera and husband Rudy, Elia Soliz and husband David, and Denise Gonzales; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends.
