Nolan Herman Zunker, age 76 of Marion, passed away on January 17, 2017. Nolan was born on April 20, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas to Albert Frank and Lonie (Haecker) Zunker. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Vernon Zunker, and his brother-in-law, Bobby Bielke. Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Zunker; daughter, Shelly Haecker and husband Jeff; grandsons, Mitchell Haecker and wife Katie, and Steven Haecker and wife Monique; great grandson, Trace Haecker; sister, Imogene Mergele and husband Ernest; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Zunker, and Jerry Penshorn and husband Jimmie; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends. A memorial service celebrating Nolan's life will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Redeemer United Church at Zuehl with Pastor Lee Zillmann officiating.
