Norma Joan Williams, age 90 of New Braunfels, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. Norma was born on October 26, 1932 in Ada, Oklahoma to Alma (Soward) and Earl Summers.  During her childhood Norma's family moved to Hayward, California where she graduated high school. Her marriage to Jesse and his military career in the United States Air Force took her on many adventures throughout the years, with four boys all born in different states and countries.  They finally settled in the McQueeney area in the early 1970's.

Norma retired from New Braunfels Independent School District and with camper in tow loved visiting many areas including Gulf Coast and Big Bend National Parks.  Norma was a devout Christian who read and studied the bible daily.  Norma's strength and mercy were always up front in her personality.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse John Williams, her sons, Jay Glen Williams and Robert Earl Williams, her parents and her brother Dwayne Summers.

She is survived by her sons, Jerry Williams and wife Debbie, and Larry Williams; 4 grandchildren, Blair Williams and wife Gabby, Ashton Williams, Steven Williams, and Denise Sierra and husband Albino; 4 great grandchildren; brother Jimmy Summers and wife Donna; sister Colleen Affeldt and husband Dean, and numerous other family and friends.

Graveside services and interment will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Jones officiating.
