Ofilia C. Wood, age 81 of Seguin, passed away on June 21, 2017. Visitation will begin on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 5:00 p.m. followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 9 a.m. for the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Graveside services and interment will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. Ofilia was born on February 6, 1936 in San Antonio, Texas to Encardnacion and Maria (Flores) Castillo. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, LTC Philip A. Wood, USAF (Ret.), her parents, sisters, Joyce Castillo Rivera and Mary Agnes Walton, and her brothers, Steward David Castillo and Adolph Castillo. Survivors include her sons, Edmond P. Wood, Bryan J. Wood, and Philip Anthony Wood; granddaughters, Camron Mari Beall and husband Dustin and Tara Lynn Martinez and husband Chris; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Sofia Martinez; sister, Frances Sanders; sister-in-law, Maxine Castillo; nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
