Othalree "Audrey" Mechler-Kampman , age 78 of Seguin, TX passed away on May 31, 2011. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8th, 2011 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel. Family will be present to receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 9th, 2011 at the Country Church in Marion at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Audrey was born to Isaac Calvin Crow and Jenny Louise McCarty Crow. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Jenny, Martin A Mechler Jr. husband of 49 years, daughter Terry Elizabeth Mechler and siblings Chester Crow, Jerlena Crow, Pansy Crow, Bethalree Crow. She is survived by her daughters; Mary Ann Mechler Dirks and husband Daniel, Cynthia Jane Mechler Diehl and husband Shane; son Richard Lee Mechler and wife Sandra; grandchildren Matthew Dirks , Misty Dirks Likins, Terri Dirks, Kara Mechler DeLancey, Kimberly Mechler Hinton; and great-grandchildren Cambrie Winkler, McKenzie Likins, Chloe Ibrom, Jacob Ibrom, Kayla Hinton and husband Conrad Kampman. Audrey was proud to be a cheerleader at Edison High School. She loved caring for the ill and completed LVN school at St. Phillips College in 1971. An avid dancer, she loved the Silver Center where she danced away many Friday nights. An accomplished oil painter, Audrey created many works that were given to many friends. Her paintings and crafts are admired throughout the community and her paintings will live on in many homes. To Mom all babies were beautiful, as was every woman she knew, and all the men were handsome.
