Otto Krenz, Jr., age 88 of Seguin, passed away on October 19, 2011. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Regena Simms officiating and military honors under the auspices of the American Legion H U Wood Post #245. Private interment will be held at a later date at San Geronimo Cemetery. Otto was born on August 14, 1923 in Guadalupe County, Texas to Otto and Annie Germer Krenz. He graduated from Elm Creek High School. He proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Army Air Corp. He was licensed as a Master Plumber and was the owner of Krenz Plumbing and Heating until his retirement. His club memberships included the 20-30 Club, the Seguin Noon Lions Club, American Legion H U Wood Post # 245 where he served as a former treasurer, and the Order of the Sons of Hermann Lodge #37 in Seguin. He is preceded in death by his first wife Lillie Mae Krenz, his second wife, Norma Schriever Krenz, his son, Gordon Skip Krenz, his parents, sister Lillian Springs and husband Vernon, sister, Alice Dix and her husband George, step son, Danny Beck and step-daughter-in-law, Vickie Hunt, father and mother-in-law, Edgar and Pauline Walling, and brother-in-law, Bill Walling. Survivors include his loving wife, D. Maxine Krenz; brother, Calvin Krenz, and wife, Lucille; brother and sister-in- law, Donn Walling and Dorothy Walling. Step-children, Sharon Gardiner and husband Jim, Ed Hunt, Michael Hunt and wife Alicia, Regena Simms and husband Larry, and Lauri Hunt; nine step-grandchildren and numerous step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
