Otto Fred Krause, Jr., age 76 of Seguin, passed away unexpectedly at his home Sunday Morning January 5, 2014. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. Otto was born on January 31, 1937 to Otto, Sr. and Meta (Schubert) Krause in Sattler Texas. He married Faye Reynolds on March 9, 1957 and they were married for nearly 58 years. He started his own business, Krause Construction, 50 years ago, and was still delivering gravel up until his passing. He was a rancher and farmer who loved being around animals. He adored his cattle. When he was not working he spent his time around his farm taking care of his many pets. Our father will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Walter and Wilton Krause. Survivors include his wife Faye Krause; son, Jefferey Krause; two daughters, Cheryl Romans and Loretta Strache; grandchildren, Mark Krause, Matthew Grimm, Jonathon and Jonquil Romans and Drake and Rafe Strache; great-grandchildren Troy and Gabriella Krause; brother, Raymond Krause; sisters, Marilyn Duelm and Emmie Sahm and her husband Clarence; numerous nieces and nephews.
