Pastor William F. Lange, Jr. age 74 of Seguin, passed through death into eternal life on June 2, 2010. Pastor Lange discovered he had Leukemia last week and died unexpectedly on Wednesday. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Tim Bauerkemper and Pastor Craig Gabriel officiating. A reception will follow immediately in the Life Enrichment Center. Pastor Lange's ashes will be placed in the Faith Lutheran Church Columbarium at the close of the 10:30 a.m. service on Fathers Day, June 20, 2010. Pastor Lange was born May 17, 1936 in Victoria, TX to William F. Lange, Sr. and Johanna Fredricks Lange. Pastor Lange's first call as a pastor was to two small churches serving the communities of Doss and Cherry Springs in Gillespie County. In 1966, he became the founding pastor of Faith Lutheran Church in Seguin. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Willis Stempel and Jane L. Shelby. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Johanna H. Lange; daughter, Debbie Tucker and husband Jeff; sons, Scott Lange and wife Leslee Martz and Chris W. Lange and wife Nikki; grandchildren, Kristen Eldridge, Courtney Eldridge, Garrett Eldridge, Kale Lange, Koby Lange, Grayson Lange, Cade Lange, Allyson Martz, Chris Martz and Ashlyn Martz; brother, James Louis Lange and numerous nieces and nephews.
