Patricia "Pat" Janca Mueller, age 95 of Seguin, passed away on April 20, 2025. Pat was born on June 15, 1929 in Cistern, Texas to Adela (Janecek) and Alfred Jerome Janca.
Pat was born and raised in Cistern, Texas, graduated from Flatonia High School and went to Incarnate Word College for nursing. She then went to work at Santa Rosa Hospital. Here she met the love of her life, Dr. John Mueller, and they married February 9, 1952.
While raising 7 children, she also worked at her husband's clinic as a nurse and office manager.
Pat was devoted to her faith and spent many hours and years doing perpetual adoration, St. Ann's Circle and volunteering as a health care educator at St. James School. She would go to mass almost everyday and it was important for Pat to share her faith with her family.
She also enjoyed working out at the GRMC Wellness Center at 5:00 am each morning, calling someone if the center was not open.
Pat loved vegetable and flower gardening which her family and hummingbirds appreciated and enjoyed.
She will always be remembered for her cooking, especially Sunday family meals, kolaches, and strudels. She also excelled at sewing and her embroidery projects were enjoyed by many.
Pat loved to travel enjoying many trips with family and friends. Above all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and babies.
Pat will be greatly missed. God Bless Nana.
Pat is preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Dr. John A. Mueller, her parents and her brothers, Milton Janca and wife Virginia, and Marvin Janca and wife Martha.
Survivors include her seven children, John Mueller and wife Grace, Tricia Mueller Whisnand and husband Phil, Mark Mueller and wife Neysa, Bernie Mueller and wife Kim, Annette Smith and husband Robert, Cathy Allen and husband Brian, and David Mueller and wife Jaimi; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and a host of friends.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 5 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with the recitation of the Holy Rosary to follow at 6 p.m. The mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the Lake Breeze Ski Lodge.
Private entombment will be held in the St. James Catholic Church Cemetery Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
