Obituary

Patricia Sue "Patty" Hopper, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and artist passed away peacefully at her home in New Caney, Texas on June 7, 2024 at the age of 75.

Patty was born on January 10, 1949 in Huntington, West Virginia to Beulah Faye (Waggoner) and Wallace Brown Noll, and spent her life spreading love, joy, and creativity to all who knew her.

Patty was married to her devoted husband, Rodger Hopper, for 57 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She was a dedicated and loving mother to her three daughters, Shari Sue Schroeder and her husband Alex, Shannon Lee Hopper, and Caitlyn Patricia Hopper and her husband Joshua Weitzel.

Patty's greatest joy in life was her family. She adored her grandchildren, who brought immense happiness and pride to her heart. She also shared a special bond with her little dachshund, Cocoa, who was always by her side.

An accomplished artist, Patty's creativity was boundless. Her works of art, which often reflected her love for nature and beauty, will continue to inspire and bring joy to many. Her passion for the Houston Astros was well-known, and she could often be found cheering them on with great enthusiasm.

Patty was a beacon of love and kindness, always putting others before herself. Her legacy of selflessness, artistic talent, and unwavering devotion to her family will forever be remembered.

Patty is survived by her loving husband Rodger; her daughters, Shari (Alex), Shannon, and Caitlyn (Joshua); grandchildren, Kyle Law (Kirsten), Devon Schroeder, and Dylan Schroeder; several great-grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Noll; brother-in-law, Gary Hopper (Christy); numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and a host of friends who will miss her deeply.

Patty's parents preceded her in death.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by funeral service at 2 p.m. with Mr. Alex Schroeder officiating.  Interment will follow in the Elm Creek Community Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Alex Schroeder, Dylan Schroeder, Kyle Law, Joshua Weitzel, Gary Hopper and Dallas Hopper.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Patty's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all who have supported them during this difficult time. Your love and prayers are greatly appreciated.
