Patrick A. Nitsch, Sr., age 78 of Seguin, passed away on May 12, 2017. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church. Private burial will be held later at San Geronimo Cemetery. Pat was born on March 17, 1939 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Louis and Augusta (Tiemann) Nitsch. Pat grew up in El Campo and attended the University of Houston, and later received his Juris Doctor from St. Mary's University. Pat was definitely one of the good guys, serving as city attorney for Eagle Pass. He later went into private practice as a corporate lawyer for Tenneco, Inc., until he retired with his wife, Brenda to Seguin in 1998. Pat was involved in politics here in Seguin, serving as City Councilmen for two years in the early 2000's. Pat also loved the country life; he was a rancher, and loved to hunt and fish, but above all, he loved his family. Pat is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Louis Nitsch. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Brenda; his son, Patrick Nitsch, Jr. and wife, Karen; grandchildren, Alejandra Camille and Kathia Eleana Nitsch; sister, Joanne Korenek, as well as numerous loving friends. The Family would also like to thank caregivers Regina Lee and Teresa Williams for their compassion that they gave while caring for Pat.
