SMSgt. Paul William "Red" Neumann, Jr., USAF (Ret.), age 73 of Marion, passed away on September 18, 2016. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Mr. Tom Benke officiating and military honors under the auspices of the United States Air Force. Private interment will be held at a later date. Red was born on November 3, 1942 in St. Augustine, Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Neumann Sr., and Betty Elizabeth Watkins Neumann Andreolli. Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Susan "Sue" Sullivan Neumann; daughters, Margaret Dockendorf and husband Michael, and Michelle Neumann; grandchildren, Randy Dockendorf, Megan Neumann and boyfriend, Cody Harrison, and Ryan Dockendorf; step-father, Alfred "Opie" Andreolli; sister, Pat Hornbrook and husband Walter; sister-in-law, Margaret James and husband Terry, Sr.; nieces, nephews and cousins; 7 cats and 3 dogs. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Guadalupe County Humane Society, P. O. Box 1593, Seguin, TX, 78155-1593.
