Peggy Ann Goodman, passed away at the age of 83 on January 30, 2016. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 2 pm followed by funeral services at 3 pm at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Butch Ikels officiating. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Peggy was born on November 25, 1932 in Palestine, Texas to Walters and Jessie Christine (Barber) Day. Peggy graduated from Santa Rosa Nursing School and dedicated the next 40 years of her life to being a nurse, in both private practice and more recently, at CTMC. Peggy retired at the age of 76 to a life of leisure in pajamas and house shoes; a life well earned! Peggy is preceded in death by her parents Papa and Mama Day; husband Jerry Goodman; granddaughter Amber Grothues; and brother, Lee Day. She is survived by her children Sue Vann (Kirk), Billy Bishop (Karen), Becky Smith, Jeri Lynn Grothues (Joe), Lorne Goodman (Kim), and Donna Skeen; grandchildren Danny Barganier (Michelle), Jason Bailey (Jeska), Jessica Swank, Brian Little (Sarah), Heather Grothues-Crafts (Brad), Hannah Grothues, Alexander Grothues, Kaley Goodman, Grace Goodman; Great-grandchildren Seth and Spencer Barganier, Emily Swank, Bella Bailey, and Graysen Cosby; sisters Marilyn Blackstock (Kenneth), Marie Valdez (Rick), Dianne Mori (Butch); brother Jack Day (Catherine); sister-in-law Lola Nastali; best friend of 70 years, Thelma Smith.
