Peggy Jean Roy Woods, age 92 of Seguin, passed away on January 26, 2025.

Peggy was born on November 13, 1932 in San Saba, Texas to Oneida Ruth (Gage) and Clarence "Red" Roy where she grew up working on the family farm. Shortly after graduating from high school she married Victor H Woods. They spent the next 22 years traveling throughout the US, Alaska, and Europe. She enjoyed traveling, antiquing, and sharing those experiences with her children. Peggy supported her family while her husband served 2 tours in Korea and 2 tours in Viet Nam.

Peggy is preceded in death by her loving husband First Sergeant (retired) Victor H. Woods Jr., her parents, and her sister, Clara "Jonell" Burnham and husband Jack.

Survivors include her sons, Roy Woods and wife Diana and Shay Timothy Woods SSG (Ret) and wife Margarita Mendez-Woods; daughter, Vickie Gescheidle and husband Randy, Lt Col (Ret); grandchildren, TSgt Austin Gescheidle and his wife Rustine, Hanna Gescheidle and her husband Tony Johnson, and Abbie Gescheidle and her husband Brian Calcote and Shayle Woods; great-grandchildren, Liam Calcote, Satele Gescheidle and Thomas Johnson; siblings, Nana Sue Laird and husband Ernest,  and Billy George "Buddy" Roy and wife Margy; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Graveside services and interment will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 9 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Chaplain Mike McClung officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Peggy's grandchildren.
