Pete B. Casas, age 77 of Seguin, passed away on April 13, 2019. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel, on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. for the mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. Pete was born on February 4, 1942 in Smiley, Texas to Lino and Maria (Bustamante) Casas. Pete worked as an overhead crane operator at CMC Steel for 39 years. He is preceded in death by his son David Casas, his parents and 8 brothers and sisters. Survivors include his loving wife, Gloria Casas; sons, Lawrence Casas and wife Linda, Adam Casas and wife Tracy, Ricky Casas and partner Esther Salazar, and Rocky Casas and wife Leslie; daughters, Rachel Pineda and husband Robert and Teresa (Pinky) Raker and husband Tony; siblings, Frank Casas, John Casas and wife Delilah, Flora Hernandez and Gloria Rodriguez and husband Louis; brother-in-law, Lucas Sanchez and wife Mary; sisters-in-law, Minnie Martinez and husband Julio and Ernestine Zamora and husband Leonard; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins other loving family members and many friends . Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Engelke, Arturo Lopez, Lino Casas, Ernest Hernandez, Joe Longoria, Jamie Gutierrez, Lalo Castilleja, Johnny Morales, Val Luna and Andrew Ontiveros.
