Petra Sassenhagen, age 94 of Spring Branch, formerly of Seguin, passed away on September 14, 2014. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Private interment will be held at a later date at San Juan Cemetery in Geronimo. Petra was born on October 23, 1919 in Buda, Texas to Jose and Refugia (Vargas) Luna. Her husband Arthur Sassenhagen, Jr., her daughter Margaret Sassenhagen, her son Gilbert Sassenhagen and her parents all preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, Hortencia Morales, Ninfa Hernandez and husband Robert, David Sassenhagen and wife Rosario, Dalia Medina, Gabriel Sassenhagen and wife Mary, Diana Walsh and husband Mark, and Arthur Sassenhagen, III; 25 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
