Porfirio "Porfy" Medina, III, age 27 of Seguin, passed away on December 4, 2008. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2008 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart from Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Private interment will be held at a later date. Porfy was born on January 31, 1981 in Seguin, Texas to Porfirio and Mary Mendoza Medina. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Juan Mendoza, Sr., Porfirio Medina, Sr. and grandmother, Julia Medina. Survivors include his parents, Porfirio and Mary Medina; sister, Julie Medina and husband, Adam Lopez; grandmother, Julia Mendoza; nieces, Brittini and Savanna Lopez; nephew, A. J. Lopez; uncles, Gabriel Mendoza and wife, Irene, Juan Mendoza, Lee Mendoza, and Rudy Medina and wife Dahlia; aunts, Gloria Medina, Lucy Arcos, and Natalia Castillo; numerous cousins and other family members.
