Porfirio Medina, Jr., age 69, of Seguin, passed away on July 20, 2017. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. followed by the rendering of military honors at 5 p.m. and the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 5:15 p.m. Visitation will continue until 7:30 p.m. Private interment will be held at a later date. Porfirio was born on April 1, 1948 in Seguin, Texas to Porfirio Medina, Sr. and Julia (Salazar) Medina. He is preceded in death by his son, Pofirio "Porfy" Medina, III, his granddaughter, Brittini Marie Lopez, and his parents. Survivors include his wife, Mary Medina; daughter, Julie Medina and partner Paul Villalon; grandchildren, Savanna Nicole Lopez and husband Ernesto Barrientos, A. J. Lopez, and Xyllah Medina; great-grandchildren, Brittini Nevaeh Barrientos, Serinitti Barrientos and Trinity Barrientos; sisters, Natalie Castillo, Gloria Medina and Lucy Acros; brother, Rudy Medina, Sr., and wife Dalia; brother-in-law, Gabriel Mendoza and wife Irene; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
