Preston Smith, age 65 of Seguin, passed away on April 17, 2008. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 20, 2008 a t Tres Hewell Mortuary from 3 to 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 21, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Tres Hewell Chapel with Pastor Frank Pomeroy officiating. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Preston was born on July 16, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas to Austin Preston and Flora Marie Taylor Smith. He was a loving husband father and proud grandpa. He had a passion for horses and loved to raise and compete with them whether it was barrels or on the track. His knowledge for computers shined through his twenty year self-started business. He proved to us with the right attitude you never know what obstacles you can overcome. He was a man of wisdom and great determination. He will sadly be missed and strongly remembered by all who knew him. His wife Drenda Lyn Johnson Smith precedes him in death as does his parents. Survivors include his son, David Wayne Smith and fiancé Patricia Palacios; daughters, Cindi Colbath and husband David and Tammi Guthrie and husband Chad; granddaughter, Alexis Guthrie; grandson, Morgan Colbath; sister, Connie Smith. Serving as pallbearers will be Arthur Locke, Steve Turner, Holt Summers, Darron Williams, Jimmy Harvey and Kenny Dracoulis. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Zurovec, Jesse Gibson, Rick Dworaczyk and Ricky Lester. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P. O.
