Prudence R. Turberville, age 91 of Seguin, formerly of Nixon, passed away on November 8, 2008. Visitation will be held Monday, November 10, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Dr. Brice Mandaville officiating. Interment will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Nixon Cemetery in Nixon. She was born February 3, 1917 in Smithwick, Texas to Roy and Pearl Gilley Ricketson. Prudence was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a faithful member of the Baptist Church.She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, S.H. Turberville and her parents and several siblings. Survivors include her daughter, Jo Hastings and husband, Bobby; sons, Ashley Turberville and wife, Mary and Gary Turberville and wife, Becky; grandchildren,who knew her as "Gran", Melanie Hewell and husband, Tres, Scott Taylor and wife, Sonia, Leslie Akin and husband, Brad, Karen Taylor Roby, Kelly Donahue and husband, Todd, and Lacey Gosch and husband Chris; great-grandchildren, Josh, Matthew, Hunter, Bethany, Claire, Ashley, Tyson, Lauren, Braeden, Lyric, Carsen, Skyler and Tanner; brother, Neal Ricketson; sister, Maxine Witt; and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Taylor, Josh Taylor, Matthew Akin, Hunter Hewell, Tyson Taylor, Brad Akin, Chris Gosch, Todd Donahue, Tanner Eckert and Tres Hewell. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
