Ralph B. Tarnava, Sr., age 87 of Seguin, passed away on March 12, 2018. Graveside services and interment with military honors will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. Ralph was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 21, 1930 to Christopher Tarnava, Sr. and Mary (Ferro) Tarnava. Ralph proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Civil Service at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Elena Tarnava, his parents and his brother, Christopher Tarnava, Jr.; survivors include his sons, Ralph B. Tarnava, Jr. and wife Alyson, Christopher Tarnava; grandchildren, Maria Diane Tarnava, Ralph B. Tarnava, III and Staley A. Tarnava; great-grandchildren, Ernest David Cortez and Oliver Wyatt Tarnava; numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members. Ralph was a great man and loving father whose light will shine forever. Memorial contributions may be made to any veteran's charity of choice.
