Ramiro M. Perez, age 53 of Denton, formerly of Seguin, passed away on September 8, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2009 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Catholic Church with Msgr. Dennis Darilek officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery. Ramiro was born on September 29, 1955 to Elojio and Lydia Magana Perez. He married Esperanza Hope Herrera on April 7, 1973 in Seguin, Texas. He worked for the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Denton for 14 years. His parents precede him in death. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Esperanza Hope Perez; sons, Ramiro Perez, Jr., and wife, Bertha, Michael John Perez and wife Sherry and Gilbert Perez and wife Cassandra; sister, Gloria P. Martinez and husband, Phillip; brothers, Jose Perez, Demetrio Perez, Rene Perez, Jesus Perez and Santos Perez; 13 grandchildren; numerous other family members. Serving as pallbearers will be Juan Herrera, Guadalupe Herrera, Jesus Perez, Phillip Martinez, Anthony Perez and Freddy Herrera.
