Randy "Bubba" Medina, age 48 of McQueeney, passed away on March 19, 2023. Randy was born on August 15, 1974, in Floresville, Texas to Johnny Medina and Louisa Mendez.

Randy is preceded in death by his grandfather, Daniel Medina.

Survivors include his parents; siblings, Jason (LeAnn) Medina, Kenny Torres, Lupe Torres, Katrina (John) Wheeler, Rocky Torres, Joshua Medina, Joseph (Abby Aguirre) Medina and Jessica Medina and grandmother, Manuela Medina, numerous nieces, nephews and Many friends.

Randy was known by many people and was always making people laugh. He had an infectious personality and he could brighten up anyone's day. Anytime he went anywhere he bumped into someone he knew, giving them a hug and laughing with them. Randy was a BBQ Master! Competing in numerous competitions all across the state of Texas. He will forever be known as the "Brisket Guy", his smoked meats won multiple titles, he even had a popular booth at the Guadalupe County Fair. He is also the Grand Champion Pitmaster in Smiley, Texas. On top of being an incredible son, brother, friend, and Culinary Pitmaster, Randy also enjoyed any and all family gatherings, never missing an event he could spread happiness and joy to his family members. Holidays, especially Christmas, were some of Randy's favorite moments as well as his Fishing Trips to Rockport/Fulton. Randy was known for his DJing while he did his catering. His favorite music was classic Country and Tejano music.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. A Prayer Service will be Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. Interment to follow at Latin American Cemetery in Nixon.
