TSgt USAF (ret) Raymond Glenn Gore, age 86 of Kingsbury, passed away on June 18, 2024. He was born in Sharon, Oklahoma on August 14, 1937 to Grace (Lee) and Walter Gore.
Raymond entered the United States Air Force at 17 years old and retired after 20 years of service beginning with the Korean Conflict and ending with the Vietnam War. Later he retired from civil service after 18 years at Kelly Field.
Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Walter Leroy, Warren and Paul, sisters, Evelyn, Lelah and Leota.
Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Charlotte Gore; children, Diana Creel and husband Dan, Dwayne Gore and wife Amy, and Peggy Smith and husband Michael; grandchildren, Erica Betts and husband Jim, Danielle Creel, Samantha Gore, Jacob Gore, Tabitha Betts and husband Steve, Chris Smith and wife Sara and Chad Smith and wife Ashton; great-grandchildren, Averi Creel, Rylee Betts, Wilder Creel, Delaney Creel, Daemon Betts, Paislie Smith, Oakley Smith, Toby Smith and Peyton Smith; brothers, Walter and Earl; brother-in-law, Dennis Meyer; sister-in-law, Connie Cunningham and husband Mark. Raymond had many amazing nieces and nephews and all their families and a host of friends.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Hillcrest Church followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Michael Moak officiating and special remarks by the Reverend Elbert Smart.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dwayne Gore, Dan Creel, Jacob Gore, Michael Smith, Arlen Glenewinkel, and Brian Glenewinkel.
Private graveside services and interment with full military honors will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hillcrest Youth Department, P. O. Box 267, Seguin, Texas, 78156.
