Reginald Norman (Windy) Govett, age 82 of Seguin, passed away on February 25, 2013. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 10 a.m. with Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating. Interment with military honors under the auspices of the American Legion H. U. Wood Post #245 will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. Windy was born in Guadalupe County on January 27, 1931 to Reginald Jackson and Pauline Ernestine Dolle Govett. He attended Eden Schools and Dowdy High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He will be remembered as an auto mechanic, lawn mower repairman and water well witcher. He loved farming and spending time is his garden. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Clara McKee Govett, his parents, his brother, Howard Govett, and his sister, Dollie Mae DiLandro. Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Govett; sons, Norman Govett and wife Melba and Randle Govett and wife Patricia; nephew, Jessie Govett; step-daughter, Paula Smith and husband Dan; grandchildren, Darren Govett, Dayna Welker and husband Tony, Collin Govett, Kaycee Govett, Amie Kelly, Richard Caka, Kim Briscoe and Thomas Smith; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous other loving family members.
