Reno Hugo Wieding of Seguin, age 88, passed away on April 8, 2010. Visitation will be held on Monday April 12, 2010 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church at Elm Creek with Pastor Anne Kolmeier and Mrs. Donna Zipp officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Lutheran Church at Elm Creek Cemetery. Reno was born in Zuehl, Texas on April 20, 1921 to Hugo and Marie Dieckow Wieding and attended Ray Point School. In 1973, he married his neighbor, Loura Zuzu Pizer. In the beginning, he ran the Wieding Oil Field Workover Company followed by working at Watco Tanks in La Vernia until his retirement. During retirement together, Reno and Zuzu ran a custom hay business and cattle ranch. Reno Wieding was preceded in death by his wife, Loura Zuzu Wieding; parents; brother, Hugo "Boodie" Wieding; sister, Viola Wieding Zamzow, and nephew, Curtis Wieding. He is survived by his step-daughter, Donna Lou Zipp and husband Rodney; grandchildren, Christopher Doege and fiancé Paige Wenner, Shane Doege and wife Sara and Dustin Doege; great grandchildren, Abbie Lynn Doege, Cloe Elizabeth Doege, Dylan Doege and Drew Doege; sisters, Paula Mays and Marie Wieding and brothers, Walter Wieding and wife Joyce and Herman Wieding and companion Lucy. He is also survived by nieces, Bertha Krueger and husband Allen, Connie Wieding and husband Louis Sill, Debbie Wieding Rohde, and Tammy Wieding Schulle and husband Alton; nephew, John Henry Wieding and wife Brenda and numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nephews, great-nieces, extended family members and friends.
