Richard Neumann, Jr, age 89 passed away April 17, 2012. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 10 am until 12 pm at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Friedens United Church of Christ with Rev. John Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery. Mr. Neumann was born on November 29, 1922 in Geronimo to Richard and Ida Neumann. He worked as a mechanic at Holt Caterpillar plant in San Antonio then returned to family farm and continued to farm until he retired. He is preceded in death by his parents; wives, Ruby Bell Neumann and Cleora Lueb Neumann; sisters, Linda Nye, Stella Bristol, Lilly Williamson, Hilda DeLire, and Helna Jones and brothers, Arno and Marvin Neumann. Survivors include his brother, Elton Neumann and wife Jean; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, Juanita Dreibrodt, Olivia Villegas, and Clarence and Joann Friesenhahn. The family would like to thank the staff at Nesbit Living and Recovery Center, Dr. Antonio Flores, and the staff at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center for their love and care. Serving as pallbearers include: John Friesenhahn, Rick Williamson, Alvin Siltmann, Andy Knudson, Mark Jones, and Bobby Wilson. Memorial contributions may be made to Friedens United Church of Christ or charity of one's choice.
