Rita Sue Baer Ferguson, age 73, was unexpectedly granted her wings for final flight on December 15, 2018, to be with her maker, her family, her friends and her many pets over the years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman (Irma) Baer, and most recently her husband of over 50 years Larry Ferguson, and other relatives. She is survived by her most recently adopted puppy, Maddie who at Rita's request will now grow up with a close friend and is adjusting well. She is also survived by her close cousin Jack Mondin (they were like brother and sister); two very special friends and many other friends. Rita was a native of Seguin, where she attended high school. Rita then went to Austin to attend business school, afterwards she started a career in banking. She eventually returned to Seguin and continued banking until she retired 30 years later. Rita loved her farm, gardening, canning and of course her many friends that would come and visit. A full memorial Mass and celebration of her life will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church on Thursday, January 3, 2019. Beginning with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:00 AM, followed by Mass of Christian Burial  at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Msgr. Dennis Darilek officiating. Private interment will be held at St. James Catholic Cemetery. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be David Kiolbassa, Tony Herrera, Lance Siltmann, Floyd Lucas, Tony Lucas, Robert Medina, Bob Graetzel, Rod Stevenson, and Rev. Dennis Rhodes.
