Robert “Bob” M. Borchers, age 84, of Seguin, passed away on February 14, 2026. He was born on July 13, 1941, in San Antonio to Eva Mae (Martin) and Alfred Matthies Borchers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Margaret “Peggy” Ann Schaefer.

Survivors include his sons, Chris Borchers and wife Monica, and Bryan Borchers; his beloved grandchildren, Camila Borchers and Matias Borchers; his niece, Sherry McCall; his nephew, Lance Schaefer; and dear friends, John Van Deusen and wife Faye.

Bob was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Texas Lutheran College. Bob was a longtime member of Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church. Music was his lifetime enjoyment; he served many different churches as a choir director and organist.

Bob loved cats and dogs, and he loved chocolate! He will be greatly missed by all who came to know and love him.
