Robert "Bob" Burton Mendenhall passed from this life into the arms of his Lord on October 30, 2011. Bob was born November 30, 1927 to Clifford and Marie Mendenhall of Milan, Missouri. He served his country in the US Air Force for 22 years. After his retirement he spent several years working in sales. He admired God's work in nature and loved to spend his days taking long rides in rural areas or watching the birds and squirrels in his back yard. A man of strong faith, he was very active in his church until Alzheimer's disease took away his abilities. Bob leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years, Bonnie Mendenhall; three children, Steve Mendenhall and his wife Nettie and their children Zack and Sadie of South Carolina; Stuart Mendenhall and his wife Sharon and their sons Kyle and Trevor of Seguin; Sharon Gay and her husband Scott and their son Jackson of Dallas. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Assembly of God Church followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Rodriguez officiating.
