Robert O. Cone, Jr., age 88 of Seguin, passed away on January 2, 2019. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Seguin with Rev. Ron Welborn officiating. A reception will follow in the Christian Life Center. Private interment will be held. Robert was born on February 15, 1930 in San Marcos Texas to Robert Orville Cone, Sr. and Reubie Eleanor Pease Cone. Robert grew up in Cheapside Texas and was a graduate of Cuero High School. He proudly served his country by joining the United States Air Force. After his military service, he attended the University of Texas at Austin and then returned to Cuero where he was a medical technologist. In 1974 he founded Cone Bioproducts in Seguin and from that several other businesses evolved and are still in operation today. Robert is preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Billie Cone, his son, William J. "Bill" Cone and his parents. Survivors include his sons, Robert O. Cone, III and wife Gail, and Kerry Glen Cone and wife Caroline; daughter-in-law, Mary B. Cone; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous other loving family members and many friends.
