Robert "Bob" James Spaw, age 76 of Seguin, passed away on July 27, 2015. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jim Price officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date. Bob was born on July 19, 1939 in Midland, Texas to Beverly Hudson, Sr. and Yuva Beatrice (Wood) Spaw. Bob graduated from Texas Tech University in 1961 with a BA in business and a minor in marketing. He then went to work for several years in textiles for several companies, among them Levi Strauss. He later worked for the City of Seguin at Max Starke Park Golf Club. An avid news junkie, Bob read the newspaper cover to cover daily while listening to sports on WOAI and watching the news. Bob thoroughly enjoyed his retired years as he could often be found siting at the corner stool with a cold beer in his hand at the Country Cabaret, or at the coast. Bob is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children Rick Spaw and wife Trudy, Scott Spaw and wife Teresa, Donna Spaw-Mahan and husband Steven; grandchildren, Lisa Wiggins and husband Brandon, Josh Spaw and wife Alyssa, Kyler Spaw, William "Billy" Hoschler and wife Christina, Tyray Hoschler, Jonathan Lisenbe and wife Jessica, Jordan Lisenbe, Jessica Spaw, Jillian Spaw; great-grandchildren, Preslee Wiggins, Kaden Spaw, Case Hoschler; brother B.H.
