Robert Schwarzkopf, age 93 of Seguin, passed away on January 25, 2018. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2017 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 29, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Butch Ikels officiating. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. Robert was born on July 2, 1924 in Guadalupe County Texas to Gustave and Adele (Ewald) Schwarzkopf. He is preceded in death by his wife Hermine Schwarzkopf, his parents, his step-children, Elizabeth Vorpahl McDonald and David Vorpahl, his sisters, Edna Springs, Thekla Wolf, Hulda Schuetz, and his brothers, Edgar Schwarzkopf, Walter Jack Schwarzkopf and Marvin Schwarzkopf. Survivors include his daughters, Janiece Schwarzkopf and Judy Schwarzkopf Moreno and husband Shawn; son, Gary Wayne Schwarzkopf and Crystal; and grandchildren, Michael Scheffel, Jr. and wife Patricia, Jason Scheffel, Kyler Moreno and Kaston Moreno, Jefferey McDonald and wife Angela, Sheri Lott and husband Bruce, Kelly Walters and husband Brian, and Brad Vorpahl; great-grandchildren, Layne, Lance, Colin, Jackson, Kassidy, Joshua, Brandon, Lana, Zachary, Caitlyn, Collin, Lauren, John David, and Blake; daughter-in-law, Barbara Vorpahl; son-in-law, Dwight McDonald; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Scheffel, Jr., Jason Scheffel, Kyler Moreno, Kaston Moreno, Jefferey McDonald and Brad Vorpahl. Memorial contributions may be made to any hospice organization or charity of one's choice.
