Robert Lee Stahl, age 80 of Marion, passed away on October 8, 2016. Visitation will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 10 a.m. Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Christopher Gentile officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Marion. Robert was born on August 28, 1936 in Marion Texas to Herbert H. and Gertrude (Stahl) Stahl. He was a 1954 graduate of Marion High School. He proudly served in the United States Army National Guard of Texas as a radio - telephone operator from 1954 to 1957 and then in the Reserves until 1960. On June 30, 1962 he married Gloria Beckmann. He worked in Aircraft Maintenance at Randolph Air Force Base from 1966 to 1993. He is preceded in death by his parents and his aunt and uncle, H. C. and Hildegard Taylor. Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Gloria Stahl; sons, Michael Stahl and wife Debbie, and David Stahl and wife Tracy; grandchildren, Hannah Stahl, Colton Stahl, Robert Stahl, Kiley Stahl, Steven Bischak and wife Leandra, Randall Bischak, Reggie Hoskins, and Morgan Hoskins; three great-grandchildren; numerous other loving family members and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Stahl, David Stahl, Colton Stahl, Brian Beckmann, Jerry Beckmann, James Beutnagel, Kyle Beutnagel and Larry Brietzke. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
