Robert A. (Bobby) Weichold, Sr., age 64 of New Braunfels, passed away on June 9, 2009. Bobby was born on January 1, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas to Arlin Rudolph and Eugenia Cielenski Weichold. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 34 devoted years. He enjoyed life to the fullest, especially spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and Pawpaw. Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Linda C. Weichold; children, Julie Weichold and fiancé, Edward Nocker, Carol Lipton and husband, Mark, Jill Steele and husband, Billy, Robert A. Weichold, Jr. and wife, Amanda; grandchildren, Justin, Lauren and Jacob McCarty, Brittany, Riley and Emily Lipton, Kayla and Klayton Steele, and Matthew and Grace Weichold; brother, Clarence Weichold; aunt, Regina Stanush; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of family and friends. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2009 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment with navy honors will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church or to the charity of one's choice.
