Roberto Rodriguez Melendez, age 64, passed away August 28, 2025. Roberto was born on May 30, 1961 to Maria Inez Rodriguez Melendez and Delfino Rodriguez in San Luis Potosí, Mexico.

Roberto is preceded in death by his his parents, Maria Inez Rodriguez Melendez and Delfino Rodriguez, his brothers Jose Rodriguez Melendez, Gerardo Rodriguez Melendez, his sisters Juana Rodriguez Melendez, Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez Melendez, Esperanza Rodriguez Melendez, and his beloved daughter Marie Inez Rodriguez Hubbard.

Roberto is survived by his wife of 41 years Esmeralda Rodriguez, his sons Robert Rodriguez (partner Siria) and Anthony Rodriguez, granddaughter Destiny Vigil (partner Abron), grandsons Jeffery Hubbard and Jrue Hubbard, great granddaughter Arilynn Rosas and great grandson Abron Carrillo, four brothers, three sisters and numerous other family members.

Roberto met his wife Esmeralda in 1983 in Seguin, TX. On December 5, 1984 they would unify in marriage and begin their family. In 1985 they gave birth to their first and only daughter Marie Inez. In 1987 they would have their first son Robert and in 1989 second son and youngest Anthony. Roberto began his life as a family man and hard worker. He began as a brick layer alongside his brothers. He eventually would become his own boss and create his own family business with his two sons Robert and Anthony. They did Masonry Work all throughout southeast Texas and continue to do so until this day. Through his leadership and hardworking hands, his mark is left throughout homes and businesses restoring or building something on them but making things more beautiful. His mark is even left back home in San Luis Potosí, Mexico where his siblings and many family members still reside.

After raising his own children. Roberto fell into being the best Popo he could be to his first granddaughter Destiny. She would be the light he needed. You could always see it through his smile when she would arrive. He had a smile from ear to ear. Next, having his two grandsons Jeffery and Jrue brought even more love and light into his life for being Popo to them all. Then, being the proudest great Popo to Arilynn and Abron. Roberto took such great pride in this role and will forever be in their hearts.

Throughout this entire time Roberto worked hard to provide for his wife Esmeralda as he did his entire life. For 41 years he was Esmeralda's "Hero". He was "Dad" to his sons, "Popo" to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. A brother, a brother in law and Tio. He was a businessman and great friend to many. Through all these roles we remain certain that Roberto throughout his lifetime carried his cross and now has reached the finish line. He has reached the heavenly gates of our father God. Roberto will forever be missed here but we will see you in heaven.
