Roland Gusman, age 68 of Seguin, passed away on June 4, 2014. Visitation will begin on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 5 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday June 7, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stockdale at 10 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Jarzombek officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Stockdale. Roland was born on October 16, 1945 in Stockdale Texas to Joe V. and Catherine (Perez) Gusman. He was a 1964 graduate of Stockdale High School. He received his Bachelor's Degree in 1968 and his Master's Degree in Public School Administration in 1974, both from Southwest Texas State University (Texas State). He retired as a Public School Administrator from East Central ISD in San Antonio. Roland will be remembered as an avid golfer. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Eugene Gusman. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Grace Lopez Gusman; son, Christopher Gusman (Nydia); daughter, Noelle Alvarado (Michael); grandchildren, Clarisa, Cristian and Cebastian Gusman and Austin, Drew and Zoe Alvarado; brother, Joe Tom Gusman (Geneva); sister-in-law, Mary Gusman; numerous nieces, nephews, and many other loving family members. Serving as pallbearers will be Esteban Lopez, Wendell Watson, Hubert Watson, Trip Presley, Terry Peel and Tommy Zuberbueller. Roland loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and he will be missed.
