Rosa Torres, age 63 of Seguin, passed away on October 13, 2014. Visitation will begin on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 5 p.m. followed by the recitation of the rosary at 6:30 p.m. The mass of Christian burial will be on Friday, October 17, 2014 at St. James Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with Rev. Msgr. Dennis Darilek officiating. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. Rosa was born on March 1, 1951 in Alvarado, Vera Cruz Mexico to Augustin and Zoila (Rosas) Figueroa. She is preceded in death by her mother. Survivors include her loving husband of 40 years, Leoncio Torres; son, Jesse Torres; daughter, Patricia Meyers; grandchildren, Justin Castillo, Jordan Castillo and Tate Meyers; father, Augustin Figueroa; sister, Blanca Trinidad; brothers, Paul Figueroa, Polo Figueroa and Pascual Figueroa; numerous other loving family members. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Castillo, Johnny Sauceda, Vince Gomez, Jose Sanchez, Sammy Lopez and David Molina.
