Rosalyn "Sis" Dietz, age 92 of Seguin, passed away on June 26, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 1PM at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Chris Larson and Rev. Layne Dietz officiating. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery. Sis was born on July 1, 1924 in Port Arthur, TX to Homer "Levi" and Hulda (Burger) Voight. Sis and her family moved to Darst Field when she was a few months old, as Levi was in the oil business. She graduated from Dowdy High School, near Luling and married the love of her life, Herman "Sonny" Lewis Dietz, Jr. Sis was a hard working women; she worked alongside Sonny at the fish hatchery in Ottine, catching minnows, and shooting snakes. Her love of the water never diminished; she loved to take family trips to the coast and fish. She was also an artist, and was very good at drawing, painting, and singing. Most of all, Sis loved her family, and will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her beloved Sonny; children, Hope Reeves, Tracey Dietz, and infant son, Michael; her parents; sisters, Elyuese "Tudy" Schmidt, and Doris Moore. Sis is survived by her children, Wayne Dietz and wife, Becky, Layne Dietz and wife, Pamela, Suzy Linn Dietz, Hank Dietz and wife, Susie, and Wyatt Dietz, and wife, Diane; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
