Rose Chapman, age 82 of Lumberton, Texas passed away on December 19, 2017 at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center in Seguin, Texas. She was born on April 8, 1935 in St. John's, Newfoundland. She married Ray Chapman in February of 1952 and they made their home in Oklahoma and various Texas Towns and eventually retiring in Seguin, Texas. Survivors include her children, Crissie Turner, Curt Chapman (Martha), Della Sires, and Tracy Singleton (Don); grandchildren, Bonnie Hart (Butch), Becky Mason, Heather Sires (Tim), Nathan Sires, Sarah Chapman, Mimi Singleton, Laura Rumbelow (Ryan), Madi Singleton and Morgan Singleton; 10 great-grandchildren; 5 Canadian siblings, Charles Phillips, Danny Phillips, Ray Phillips, Patricia Kofoed and Cindy Silva; Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Muriel and Charles Phillips, and her husband of 48 years, Ray Chapman. Rose cherished her memories volunteering at The Cranny (Family Violence Shelter) and the animal shelter in Seguin. She loved reading books and going to the movies. She especially loved large family gatherings. Her family and friends will gather for a celebration of her life at a later date.
