Obituary

Ross Denson, age 82 of Seguin, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2023. Ross was born on November 23, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas to Claud Boyd and Mary Esther (Ross) Denson.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Denson, his sister, Esther Boward and his parents. Survivors include his siblings, Sally White and husband Richard, John Denson and wife Jane and Jimmy Denson; his daughter, Donna Kurz; his step-children whom he treated as his own, Debra Teague and husband Ray, Bill Hughes and wife Melinda, Judy Ibrom and husband Steven, Frances Herzog and husband Tink, Janice Sasser and husband James and John Abel; 24 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and a host of friends.

Ross was an electrician before his retirement and helped build the Tower of the Americas, Brook Army Medical Center, a Nuclear Power plant in Michigan, and many other facilities. But Ross most loved and enjoyed working with horses. He owned, trained, and raced horses. He loved the times at the race track and the hours working with the horses. He continued to own horses throughout his adult life. He and his wife Mary loved their acreage and horse farm in Bandera, TX.

Ross will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A Memorial gathering and lunch celebrating Ross's life will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at "THE BIG RED BARN" - The Texas Agricultural Education & Heritage Center, 390 Cordova Rd, Seguin, TX 78155.
