Obituary

Roy Lee Caudill, age 81 of McQueeney, passed away on December 25, 2025.  Roy was born on January 18, 1944.  Roy will be remembered as a former employee of SMI where he worked as an electrician for 36 years.

Roy was adventurous, funny and creative.  He loved to travel to new places.  With every encounter, one was sure to get a joke and a laugh.  He loved his family and friends and always gave of himself to help others when he could. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Maxine (Duncan) and Leroy Dyer, his sons-in-law, Daryle Hale and Tony Osborn, sister, Tessie Hammann and husband Bill, brothers, Jackson Dyer and Bill "Skeeter" Dyer, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Frances and Woodrow Wilson, and sisters-in-law, Mary Louise Wilson and Laura Irene Truelove.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Beverley Caudill; daughters, Cheryl Neuhoff and husband Paul, Susan Hale, and Christy Donegan and husband Chad; grandchildren, Chelsea Spicer and husband Russell, Brook DeLany, Travis DeLany, Megan Price and husband Cameron, Hannah Neuhoff, Chase Hale, and Chad Hale; sisters-in-law, Linda Riddle and husband Ken, Sherry Klement and husband Gery, Wanda Powe and husband Greg, Connie Wilson, and Vicki McCloskey and husband Wade; brothers-in-law, Pat Truelove, Larry Wilson and wife Debbie, and David Wilson and wife Sandra; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and a host of friends.

Visitation will begin on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by funeral service at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Jim Taylor officiating.  Interment will follow in the Boecker Cemetery.  A reception will be announced.

Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Neuhoff, Chad Donegan, Travis DeLany, Robert DeLany, Chad Hale, Chase Hale, Kevin Riddle, and Zac Guevara.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Jeanette Siltmann, 196 Townsend Rd, Seguin, Texas, 78155 or to the Guadalupe County Habitat for Humanity, P. O. Box 87, Seguin, Texas, 78156 or to the charity of one's choice.
