Ruben Perez, II, age 31 of Seguin, passed away on March 31, 2019. Visitation will begin on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 5 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 p.m. with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. for the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Dugger Cemetery. Ruben was born on June 28, 1987 in San Antonio, Texas to Ruben and Helen (Johnston) Perez. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Charlie Johnston, his aunt, Frances Johnston and his uncle, Robert Johnston. Survivors include his loving parents, Ruben and Helen Perez; sister, Del McCamon and husband Robert; brother, Joshua Perez; nephew, Jamison Cash; grandparents, Chris and Alicia Perez, and Maria G. Johnston; aunts and uncles, Roy Perez and wife Dora, Lolly Fleck and husband Keene, Griselda J. Cadena, and Edward Johnston; numerous cousins, other loving family members, his beloved softball buddies and many other friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Perez, Koy Kunkel, Fabian Hernandez, Cody Boatwright, Austin Boyd, Jorge Cadena, Chris Wright, Jr., Greg Wright and J. J. Esquivel.
