Ruby Linsey, age 88, of Seguin, passed away on January 12, 2017. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Andy Taylor and Rev. Wally Schievelbein officiating. A reception will follow at the Faith Lutheran Life Enrichment Center. A Private interment will follow at a later date in the Faith Lutheran Church Columbarium. Ruby was born on June 6, 1928 in Guadalupe County to Edgar and Louise (Friedeck) Schievelbein. She will be remembered as the long time cook at the River House at SMI(CMC). Her husband referred to her as the best cook in three counties! She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, James "Jim" Linsey in 2008; her parents; brother, Robert Lee "Sonny" Schievelbein and his wife Arlene; sisters, Dorothy and her husband Buck Wegren and Irene and her husband Ken Shunk, and sister-in-law, Wanda Linsey. Ruby is survived by her daughters, Ramona Kuehne and husband, Andy, and Roxanne Heckmann; favorite granddaughter, LeAnne White and husband, Chase; favorite grandson, Andrew Kuehne; brother, Edgar "Junie" Schievelbein and wife Anna Marie; brothers-in-law, Cliff S. Linsey and wife, Lina, Darwin D. Linsey, Merle Ellis Linsey and wife, Elissa; sister-in-law, Shirley Ruth Masterson and fiance, Delton Lowry; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends.
