Rudy "Blues" Tijerina, Jr., age 61 of Seguin, passed away on August 24, 2010. Visitation will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 26, 2010 followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Friday, August 27, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Santo Tomas Cemetery. Rudy was born on March 15, 1949 in Seguin, Texas to Rudy Sr. and Maggie Hernandez Tijerina. His parents, brother Carlos Tijerina and niece Lucinda Sepeda preceded him in death. Survivors include his sons, Rudy Tijerina, III and wife Selena and Ramsey Tijerina and wife Monica; daughter, Candice Crisp; brothers, Armando Tijerina and wife Yolanda, Danny Tijerina and wife Teresa; sisters, Isabel Cadenhead and husband Mark, Mary Ann Friesenhahn and husband Robin, Patsy Flores, Christina Fallin and husband Patrick and Lois Tijerina and Jason; sister-in-law, Mary Sylvia Tijerina; grandsons, Joseph Rodriguez, Ramsey Rene Tijerina, Noah Angel Tijerina, Justin Tijerina, Jordan Tijerina, Jonathan Tijerina and Joshua Tijerina; great-grandson, Jeremiah Tijerina; numerous other family members and a host of friends. Rudy will be remembered as having enjoyed life to the fullest. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Flores, Jr., Joe Flores, III, Andrew Botello III, Armando Tijerina, Jr., Rick Gonzales, Jr. Christopher Tijerina, Aaron Tijerina and Gabriel Solis.
