Mr. Russell A. Franks, age 66 of Seguin, passed away suddenly on January 28, 2009. Russell was born on April 1, 1942 in New Braunfels, Texas to Walter and Ethel Schulz Franks. He served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He will be remembered as a faithful 32 year employee of Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Jeanette Grimm Franks; son, Brent Franks and wife, Becca; daughter Taena Miller and husband, Rusty; granddaughters, Blayke, Paetyn and Tanner Franks; Connor and Sydney Miller. As a loving husband, father and "papa", he will be missed. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2009 from 3 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 30, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Paul Zwarich and Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Christ Lutheran Church of Elm Creek Cemetery.
