Russell Eugene Wilson, age 81 of Seguin, passed away on May 17, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Tom Jones officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Big Woods Community Church Cemetery in DeKalb, Texas. Russell was born on August 16, 1936 in DeKalb, Texas to Otis V. and Mildred (Russell) Wilson. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Carolyn; daughters, Celia Wilson Hawk and husband Robert, Julie Wilson Dear and husband John, Stormy Wilson Stouder and husband Jeff, Deanie Wilson Jaime and husband Javier, and Lamar Wilson DeOreo and husband Randy; grandchildren, Brandon Hughes, Kyle Hawk and wife Sadye, Mitchell Hawk and wife Alacia, Carley Alderson and husband Daniel, Dean Wilson Stouder, Clay Stouder, Hailey Stouder, Isabel Jaime, Nicholas Jaime, Ashlyn Stouder, and Easton Russell DeOreo; great grandson, Watson Theo Hawk. Russell will be remembered as a Guadalupe Regional Medical Center Volunteer, known there as Mr. Wilson, for the past 11 ½ years.
