Ruth G. Herbold, age 82 of Seguin, passed away on November 30, 2012. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Pastoral Assistant Donna Lou Zipp officiating. Interment will follow in Dugger Cemetery. Ruth was born in Seguin, Texas to James Duehl and Willouise Nickell Seay on July 23, 1930. She was a long time member of Emanuel's Lutheran Church. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, John H. Herbold, her parents, her grandson, Travis Ryan Herbold and her brother, James Duehl Seay, Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (Sandy) Haugen and husband Calvin; son, John S. (Steve) Herbold and wife Sharon; grandchildren, Eric Haugen and wife Stacy, Evan Herbold, and Kyle Herbold; great-grandchildren, Trace and Toby Haugen and Emma Lynn Herbold; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Bobby Jean Seay, Bobbie Jean Herbold, Nola Kleinschmidt, Helen Herbold, Lucille Krenz and husband Calvin, Lorene Schievelbein, Leroy Herbold and wife Goldie, Estelle Illhardt and husband Carl, Lydia Whitwell and husband Johnny, Hazel Kutac and husband Kenneth; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Ruth loved spending time outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. The family would like to thank the physicians, nurses and staff of Nesbit Living and Recovery Center, Guadalupe Regional Medical Center, and the University Hospital in San Antonio for their loving care.
