Ruthanne Smith, age 75 of Seguin, passed away on October 15, 2013. A memorial service celebrating Ruthanne's life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Steve Knott officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date. Ruthanne was born on December 8, 1937 in Salisbury, Maryland to Thomas Francis Darling and Marion Baker Burke. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Janet Webster and her husband Richard. Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Charles E. Smith; sons, Dean M. Smith, Danny R. Smith and Charles E. Smith, Jr.; grandchildren, Sarah Vander Valk, Charles E. Smith, III, Coreyraye Smith, Dean M. Smith, Jr., Tyler Smith and Ariel Janikowski; brother, Francis Darling and wife Helen; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
